Typically the wedding liturgy will have three readings - one each from the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Gospels. There is usually also a psalm, which is sung between the Old and New Testament readings.
The readings come from the official Church book of readings - the lectionary. The Church has already selected a large number of scripture texts appropriate to the celebration of marriage:
